well i have some big news! i got offered to do makeup for a model on a photoshoot in nashville!! i'm so excited, and at first i was really nervous and didn't know what to say.. but i've already replied to this person & have accepted whenever they are ready to do the shoot.

i'm not sure if there is any compensation involved; i'm sure there would be.. no one would drive half an hour somewhere with their kit packed up & do all kinds of makeup for free. but then again, i'm not a professional. but i'm good. idk. i'm not sure!! haha.

anyway, i did some more makeup today. i'm so glad god gave us two eyes when he made us!! because i love doing one look on one eye, and another on the other eye! it's funny. anyway, tonight i did baby blue, and then pink on the other. here are the pics.

what do you think? i love them!! i think i may do this one night when we go out. i love the pink the most. chris likes the blue. which one do you favor?

3 generations of women...

me, my mom, and my grandmother all went out today. we had lunch together, and then went shoes & clothing shopping. i had a lot of fun! we had yummie arby's marketfresh sandwiches, which are the BEST! except our lettuce was rotten. literally black. my mom was so mad, she asked for the store manager, and got us all new sandwiches (with no lettuce) ... lol.

when we arrived at my grandmother's house to pick her up, she & my mom were dressed almost identical - by accident! it was so cute, so i had to take pics.. aren't they so cute!!! i also took one of all three of us together. you can totally tell we're related, as we all have the same lips. lol. and my mom & i have the same eyes.

mom bought me two VERY cute pairs of shoes, and an awesome purse. the shoes, one pair is a dark purple pair of flats, with a cutesy ribbon on top, and the other is some brown flats with sequins and glitter & stuff. the PURSE IS MY FAV! hehe it's yellow.. super adorable.. the picture i posted to the left is similar to the bag she got me.. the bag i posted is a gucci bag, lol, which mine definitely is not.

chris is working on getting his civic up and running again. the distributor went out about a month ago, and he has been driving my car back & forth to freakin nashville to school.. i'm so glad that he & his friend are getting it repaired today.

i did not receive a call back yet from that salon, but i'm optimistic that i will hear something by tomorrow. if not, i will call tomorrow evening around 5pm and see what the verdict is. i am so excited, and i know i made a good impression on them. i just hope that they choose me to work there. i know i would be a great addition to their team.

today, my makeup was super cute. i will post a close up picture of it.. LOVE IT! i'm so cute and talented. hehehehehe

so ok, i'm done writing for tonight, because my cousin emily called & now we're gabbing on the phone about our husbands. haha. love yall! nighty night!

finally catching up!

sorry i've been sort of absent lately. i've been working on perfecting my makeup skills.. the last picture i posted was the very first time i've ever tried to play with eyeshadow. i don't think i did too bad! haha. here are some more pics since then.. i have also dramatically shaped my eyebrows for the better and got them all fixed up! so some of the pics, they were in that "in-between" stage, and look funky. it takes months to fix years of plucking them the wrong way!

this first pic is my first attempt at a smokey eye look. :) i used my coastal scents 88 shimmer palette. i really love that palette a lot! the matte palette is great, as well. but the shimmer is my fav. i have also purchased an urban decay palette with 10 shadows. it came with a bottle of UDPP, which seems to work well. well, it has been up until about 2 days ago. it seems like everything has been creasing really bad the past couple of days. i don't know what i'm doing wrong. haha.

this second picture is a pinkish-purple look that i did. as you can see, my eyebrows have greatly improved! this was taken a few days ago. these colors were, again, from my coastal scents 88-shimmer palette.

the next picture is a rainbow look i did, just messing around.. i used all mac colors. colors used were: passionate, chrome yellow, clarity, and vibrant grape from the style warriors collection. i should have concealed my eyebrows for this look, but i did not know how to do that at this point. ( i have learned, since then.)

as you can see, i have been messing around a lot with different looks and shades. i have mastered a natural brown look, and the smokey eye look. my favorite highlighter is dazzlelight. it's the best color ever! to the left, i'm posting a pic of the yellow/green look i did in august, using the coastal scents 88-matte palette!

today, i had a job interview and because it was at a salon, wasn't sure how to present myself. salons are all about creating art. creating an image.. so i didn't want to be WOW!, but didn't want to be mehhh... either. you know? so this is the look i went for... to the right. i used just my neutral browns, but added a set of wispies to make my eyes pop. turned out quite nice! it looks a lot like the first pic i posted of the black smokey eye look, except its got a brown/bronzey kind of look.

last but definately not least, i wanted to post a pic of the look i created last week, using RED eyeshadow, which i have NEVER done! haha. i received a package from Beauty From The Earth (http://beautyfromtheearth.blogspot.com) for winning a contest.. crystal sent me 3 multi-purpose minerals. i received the colors addicted, diamonds, and pewter. i LOVE their colors! however, i did notice while putting it on that it was very easy to fly around. i tried making a tutorial of the look on the left, using the 3 colors, but i get very self-concious about my videos, therefore, it never got uploaded.
